Program Description

Event Description

Want to learn more about United States foreign policy and discuss what is happening in the world today? Each month we read one chapter in the Great Decisions Briefing Book. When we meet, we watch a short film and discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. Professor Gary Midkiff leads the discussion group. Briefing Books will be available starting in February for checkout at the Questions Desk.

Due to the Consolidated Primary Election, we will meet virtually via Zoom. If you need assistance or a computer with an internet connection to access the discussion, please notify Diane Gaudio at 815-385-0036 x330 or dgaudio@mchenrylibrary.org.

Chapter 1 Energy Geopolitics By Carolyn Kissane

But as more countries move toward sustainable energy, and supply chain shortages affect the availability of oil and gas, how will this change how the United States interacts with the outside world?
