Meet author Daniel Kraus with Heidi Stevens at MCC's Luecht Auditorium! A coalition of McHenry County public libraries are pleased to host Daniel Kraus on Thursday, November 6th at 7 p.m. at McHenry County College's Luecht Auditorium. 

DANIEL KRAUS, critically acclaimed author of Whalefall, returns with an immersive, cinematic novel about five World War I soldiers who stumble upon a fallen angel that could hold the key to ending the war:  Angel Down

With Guillermo del Toro, Daniel co-authored The Shape of Water, based on the same idea the two created for the Oscar-winning film. Kraus has won the Bram Stoker Award, Scribe Award, two Odyssey Awards, and has appeared multiple times as Library Guild selections, YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults, and more.  Kraus’s work has been translated into over 20 languages. Copies of his books will be available for purchase and signing at the event courtesy of Read Between the Lynes bookstore of Woodstock. Registration is required for this free author event. Daniel will be interviewed by Chicago Tribune columnist Heidi Stevens and will discuss his new novel, Angel Down.
