Program Description

Event Description

FamilySearch is one of the largest, most comprehensive sites for genealogy resources. Sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, FamilySearch provides researchers with millions of records, research wikis that act as resource guides, and also offers great family history education. The best part is that it’s free! The McHenry Library has also been a FamilySearch Affiliate for eight years. Affiliates have access to some records that aren't available with a regular account. Learn the basics on how to use this great genealogical resource with a tour of the website. Presented by members of the McHenry County Genealogical Society and the McHenry Public Library.
