Program Description

Event Description

Join us for Family Reading Night, a special storytime to encourage families to read together. Families with children of all ages are welcome to participate - bring a book of your own to read or choose from one of our favorites. We will start the night with a story read by one of our librarians and then families will be able to read on their own.

Sponsored by the Illinois Secretary of State and State Librarian and the Illinois State Library's Illinois Center for the Book, Family Reading Night is an annual statewide event held the third Thursday in November to encourage families to spend quality time reading together.
